सावरपाडा एक्‍स्प्रेस - कविता राऊत ज्या स्पर्धेत उतरते त्यात पदक कमावल्याशिवाय थांबत नाही, असा तिचा लौकिक आहे. रविवारी (ता. 6) "पुणे आंतरराष्ट्रीय मॅरेथॉन' स्पर्धेत महिलांच्या गटात चौथा व भारतातून पहिला क्रमांक पटकावीत तिनं आपण "लंबी रेस का घोडा' असल्याचं पुन्हा एकदा दाखवून दिलं. तसा धावपटूंच्या जगात तिचा निराळा दबदबा आहे. कविता आहे, म्हणजे जीवतोड मेहनत करावी लागणार, हे इतर सगळ्याच स्पर्धकांना न सांगताही माहीत असतं; पण तिचं आजचं यश हे असं सहजासहजी तिच्या पदरी पडलेलं नाही; तर तिनं शब्दशः घाम, रक्त आणि अश्रू गाळून ते कमावलेलं आहे. नाशिक जिल्ह्यातील त्र्यंबकेश्‍वर तालुक्‍यातील एक आदिवासी पाडा... पाचशे वस्तीचं लहानसं गाव. रस्ते, वीज आणि पाणी या कशाशीही संबंध नाही. शाळा जेमतेम चौथीपर्यंत. असं जंगलातल्या कुशीतलं सावरपाडा. याच गावावरून कवितालाही नाव पडलं "सावरपाडा एक्‍स्प्रेस'. कविताचं सगळं बालपण...
